08 — Deployment FAQ

Questions,
answered plainly.

Q.01How long does deployment take?
+

For most environments, the first production deploy takes a few hours end-to-end — provisioning, TLS, Meta connection, and smoke tests. Complex network setups can take a day. We handle it during your free initial deployment window.

Q.02Do you deploy the platform for us?
+

Yes. Every plan includes a free initial deployment performed by our engineering team on the infrastructure you choose.

Q.03Can I deploy on my own server?
+

Yes. SelfCRM is designed to run on any Linux server you control — VPS, dedicated host, private VPC, or bare metal inside your office.

Q.04Can I migrate later?
+

Yes. SelfCRM is standard Node.js and Postgres. Migrating to a new provider is a database dump, a repository clone, and updated environment variables.

Q.05Can I change hosting providers?
+

Yes, at any time. Ownership means portability — there are no proprietary formats or provider-specific dependencies.

Q.06Do I need Docker?
+

No, but it helps. Docker images are provided for reproducible deploys; if you prefer PM2 on Ubuntu, that's fully supported too.

Q.07Can I use shared hosting?
+

No. SelfCRM requires a server where you can run Node.js processes and connect to Postgres — shared hosting doesn't provide that.

Q.08What if I need engineering help?
+

Support is included per your license, and our team is available for custom work, integrations, and infrastructure guidance whenever your business grows.
