Overview
Relay respects customer privacy. We collect only the information necessary to provide licensing, deployment, communication and support around the Relay platform and this website.
We do not sell customer information — ever. We do not run advertising, do not resell contact lists, and do not share information with data brokers.
Relay is sold as a self-hosted platform. The data that matters most to your business — customer conversations, contacts, deals, media, message logs — is written to your database, on your server, under your policies. This page describes only the information that reaches us: through your purchase, our website, and any support you request.

Information we collect
Information handled by Relay falls into these categories:
- Personal information
- Name, work email and (optionally) phone number when you contact sales, book a demo or open a support request.
- Business information
- Company name, industry, team size and country — used to recommend the right license and deployment approach.
- Purchase information
- License tier, transaction reference and billing address supplied at checkout.
- Website analytics
- Aggregated, non-identifying usage of our marketing pages — pages viewed, referrer, approximate region.
- Cookies
- Small preferences stored in your browser (see below).
- Support requests
- Messages you send us and environment details you choose to share while we help you troubleshoot.

The single most important paragraph
Your customer data never leaves your infrastructure.
Conversations
Every message, thread and attachment lives on your server.
Database
Postgres runs on infrastructure you own or rent directly.
Meta Business
Your numbers and templates belong to your Meta account.
AI provider keys
Your OpenAI / Anthropic keys stay in your environment file.
Media & files
Uploads are written to your object storage — S3, R2 or local disk.
Backups
You configure the schedule and destination. We hold no copy.
We cannot access customer deployments. No telemetry, no phone-home, no backdoor. The only time our engineers see your environment is when you explicitly grant support access during a session — and that access ends when the session does.
07.05 · Meta Business accounts
Meta Business accounts
Every WhatsApp number, template and business asset lives inside your own Meta Business account. Relay does not receive a delegated grant on your Meta account and cannot manage it on your behalf. Your compliance record, template approvals and delivery reputation remain entirely under your control.
07.06 · AI provider keys
AI provider keys
AI requests go directly from your server to the provider you configured (OpenAI, Anthropic or any adapter you add). Your API key stays in your environment file. Prompts and completions never pass through our infrastructure — we have no ability to intercept, log or replay them.

Payment information
Payments are processed by regulated providers (Razorpay and Stripe). Card details are collected and stored by the provider under their own security controls. Relay stores only the transaction reference, license tier and the billing information required on your invoice.

Third-party services
Running the platform and this website involves a small number of external providers. Each has its own privacy policy — we recommend reviewing theirs directly.
- Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API)
- Message delivery under your own Meta Business account.
- OpenAI
- AI inference — only if you configure it. Uses your API key.
- Anthropic
- AI inference — only if you configure it. Uses your API key.
- Hosting providers
- You choose where to run your instance (AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP, etc).
- Payment gateway
- Razorpay and Stripe handle purchase transactions.
07.09 · Security
Security
Security controls on our website and license infrastructure include:
- SSL / TLS. Every request to our website and license endpoints is served over HTTPS.
- Secure authentication. Access to internal systems uses strong passwords and multi-factor authentication.
- Encrypted communication. Support conversations and file exchanges use encrypted channels.
- Responsible disclosure. Reports can be sent privately to security@relaycrm.io — we acknowledge within one business day.

Customer rights
You may, at any time:
- Request information
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information
- Update anything that has changed — email, company, billing details.
- Delete information
- Request removal, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.
- Contact support
- Reach us for anything the options above don't cover.

Policy updates
We may update this policy as the platform evolves or as legal requirements change. Material changes are announced on our website at least 14 days before they take effect. The version at the top of this page always reflects the current text.
